French roulette: understand the special rules
La Partage and En Prison depend on table conditions.
The name is not enough
French roulette generally uses a single-zero wheel. Pay attention to the conditions for even-money bets such as red/black. Confirm whether the table actually offers La Partage or En Prison.
La Partage
When La Partage applies and zero lands, half of the eligible stake is returned. It does not make straight-up or dozen bets eligible for a partial refund.
En Prison
With En Prison, an eligible stake may be held for resolution in a later round. Read the handling of another zero and the release conditions. The table’s own rules take precedence.
Probabilities calculated from 37 or 38 equally likely outcomes, depending on the variant. Check the table rules.
18+. Winnings are not guaranteed. Read the rules of the version available in your account.
